Autophagosome biogenesis
This 3D clay model presents a series of scientific discoveries published in the Autophagy field in the last decades. From the PI3KC3-C1 – WIPI2 cascade to LC3 lipidation via the ATG12–ATG5/ATG16 complex to the, all happening on a ATG9 (blue and red) vesicle. The sculpture also represents a series of proteins that have been identified to be present on these autophagosome nucleating vesicles.
