Artistic interpretation of the Drosophila lymph gland, the larval hematopoietic organ. I illustrated here the maturation process by which Drosophila blood cells are formed. The population of precursor cells is shown in green, while fully differentiated cells are depicted in red (plasmatocytes) and blue (crystal cells).
